Hi there
I want to add the most recent podcast as the default player on my homepage/landing page.
I tried to use the shortcodes examples given in these posts:
Hi.
My landing page kuechenstud.io used to show the subtitle of the latest show:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[podlove-episode field="subtitle"]'); ?>
After one of the latest updates it doesn´t work anymore.
How do I use template tags to show the subtitle of the latest show again?
Thanks.
Apologies if I’m missing something obvious - I’ve installed the Podlove Publisher plugin but I can’t get the [podlove-web-player] shortcode to display on the home page. It works for the Episodes pages, but I can’t replicate it on the home page - is that typical behaviour? If so, is it possible to get the Web Player to display on other pages?
The site is at www.mindofyourown.co.uk

But both pages are from 5 years ago. Is the information contained within them valid.
When I try the second example:
[podlove-template id="latest-episode"]
all I get on my wordpress page is:
[podlove-web-player publisher="199"]
unformatted

Scratch that altogether, the webplayer has been updated, and I was using podigee as my player. I switch over to the podlove web player plugin it starts working.

Solved isn’t entirely correct, workaround is more accurate, there appears to be a bug in 2.10 when it comes to displaying the player, problem is captured on this post:
I’m not sure what’s going on. All of a sudden, where I have the shortcode set for the web player in Podlove Publisher in my WordPress site, instead of showing the player it now shows just the shortcode for the episode, such as [podlove-web-player publisher=“5919”].
Here is an example page.
What’s going on?
