Web player suddenly disappeared; assets no longer found w/error 407

Hi. I recently started a podcast and have 5 published episodes. Everything seemed to be working perfectly at first, and the web player could be seen along with the chapter list icon. Then suddenly one day when I logged in to upload another episode, I noticed the player had disappeared from all the episode pages. There was still a “download” and “show url” button that seems to accurately link to the file, but no web player, and now when I go to edit the episode, it says my assets cannot be validated. I’ve tried changing asset folder it pointed to and even deleted the entire site and started from scratch, but the problem still persists. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong.

I’m running wordpress 4.2.2 and the latest version of the podcast publisher on php 5.5 servers. Here’s a short summary of the error I’m seeing:

“[2015-05-25 14:15:46] Curl Error: The requested URL returned error: 407 TVFuryEp001/PNG Image

I tried to do the support membership option, but am wondering if there’s another option to pay besides providing ones straight bank information, like Paypal or something. Any help with this issue in the interim however, would be greatly appreciated.

407 is a “proxy authentication error”. looks like WordPress is going through a proxy to access those files. Can it be some configuration change has caused this?

I’m not sure that I know what you mean. I can’t think of anything I changed between the time the player was working till when it disappeared. But I thought that if it was indeed a wordpress issue, it would for sure be solved by deleting and starting the site from scratch. Do you know how I can go about verifying if this is some sort of proxy issue so I can fix it?

Also, is there another option besides providing direct bank routing information to pay for support? Like paypal or venmo or something? If possible, I’d like to figure out how to solve this issue ASAP.

There should be a PayPal option available. Is it not visible to you?

I’m not sure how to get to that link, but when I go to http://publisher.podlove.org/support/ this is all I see:

The only paypal link I could find was on the donation page here: http://podlove.org/donations/ If you can hot link me to the paypal support payment option, I’ll do it right away.

You should have multiple payment option. I have no idea why you only see one. I will contact the support of the payment service I am using.

Hi, any updates on payment or tips on how I can possibly fix this issue?

I contacted DigiStore24 support and they told me they need me to ask for permission to sell to US customers. This is in process now and is hopefully resolved soon. Until then, I offer you to email me directly at eric@podlove.org.
