Episode scheduled for release in the past, does not get published

Hi,
I’ve scheduled an episode to get released on Feb 24 '21 at 00:00. However, it’s still listed as scheduled and does not appear in the feed. I’ve tried setting the date to another time in the past and setting the status to published from the Quick Edit menu but that hasn’t helped.
It worked a month ago. What could be the issue here?

Edit: I’ve worked around the issue by setting the date to Feb 23 at 23:55. For some reason that got recognized correctly as being in the past.

“missed schedule” is a very common issue in WordPress. See https://duckduckgo.com/?q=missed+schedule+wordpress. You can look into the root cause (wp cron not working correctly) or install one of the many plugins to fix this another way.
