I am writing to report a layout engine crash in the WordPress post editor. When typing or making edits inside a post, the browser thread completely locks up and freezes.
The console trace isolates this to your plugin block still running on legacy architecture:
Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated... Note: The block "podlove-web-player/shortcode" is registered with API version 1.
Because it is registered on Version 1, WordPress disables its modern editor iframe sandbox to maintain backward compatibility. When this block’s translation engine runs alongside other legacy elements on the page, the compounding background script loops crash the browser thread.
Could you please update the block’s block.json registration schema to utilize modern apiVersion: 3 so it can safely execute inside the modern sandboxed iframe environment?
