Multisite WP: Creating a podcast list does not work

Hi,

we have a WordPress network/multisite consisting of a main site and twelve more sites that each contain a Podlove podcast. I’d like to use Podlove’s list feature to, for example, get a list of all episodes from all podcasts in a template on the main site.

However, I cannot create any lists in the network admin’s Podlove dashboard. I can enter metadata for a new list and select the podcasts I want it to contain, but nothing is stored when I click “Save changes”: All I get is an empty table of Podlove lists.

According to the Podlove Publisher docs, a “Network module” is required to access network.lists or specific list inside a Podlove template, but the only modules mentioned in the Podlove Publisher docs are Transcripts, Shownotes, and Slacknotes. I wonder if the feature might have been abandoned. There’s a lib/modules/networks directory on GitHub, though. We have this directory in wp-content/plugins/podlove-podcasting-plugin-for-wordpress/lib/modules/.

Or could this be a version issue? Podlove Publisher hasn’t been updated for some time and the current version has only been tested with WordPress 6.1.3. We tried to make it work with WordPress 6.2.1, 6.3, and 6.3.1.

Is the Publisher plugin enabled on your first/main site? I remember there were some odd dependencies in Network support.

Maybe you could have a look at the PHP error log, if anything appears there when you try to save?

This is now a “core” module, meaning it’s always on and not listed under the module section any more. But I can see how that’s confusing, maybe we should still list core modules
